Jesus Navas set to make farewell appearance at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan on Saturday.

Sevilla’s 39-year-old star Jesus Navas is set to make his final appearance at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan against Celta Vigo in the La Liga on Saturday, with the player hoping to secure a victory for the Sevilla faithful, Diario AS reported on Friday. 

Navas has announced his retirement from professional football at the end of the year, with the 39-year-old set to make his final appearance at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan on Saturday before concluding his career with Sevilla at Real Madrid on Sunday, December 22.

‘There are so many things going through my mind, I try to absorb them and hopefully I can enjoy the moment. I’m really looking forward to the game against Celta, to be involve until the end and to bring Sevilla another win. The fans are happy, that’s the most important thing,’ Navas said.

However, Navas has yet to make any plans for his future after his official retirement, despite being committ to the club.

‘It’s complicated. We’ll have to see what happens. I don’t think about that day at all, to be honest. I try to make the best of these moments before I retire, to enjoy Sevilla, which is the best.’

Navas has also insisted Promotion ufabet that he has no intention of retiring from football. But the pain in his hip from a chronic injury has made it impossible to continue. 

‘Yes, it’s difficult and the worst thing is not now, but I have to think about the future. I want to continue to live a normal life, to play football with my children when I retire.
