Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola wants to see his current squad return rather than splashing the cash in the January transfer window.

The Citizens are in a poor run of form, having lost seven of their last 10 games, amid reports that the team is likely to make new signings in January, with the team link with a number of players, particularly in midfield, with Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi, Newcastle’s Bruno Guimaraes and Atalanta’s Ederson all out for injury.

However, the winter window is notably a challenging market to operate in, and City often turn away from doing big-money business in the window largely due to a reluctance from other clubs to negotiate or sell midway through a season.

However, the Spanish coach spoke at a press conference ahead of Sunday’s clash with Manchester United about the possibility of signing new players in January, and he is keen to see the injured players recover.

“No, I want my players back, the players we have! I want to compete with the team we had at the beginning of the season,” Pep said.

“I’ve said it many times, this is the only regret I have, I don’t have those players. I don’t have new players, ทางเข้า ufabet but in the right moment, the right moment, we will see.”

Touching on the subject of Manchester City’s Annual Report and the record revenue figures that were release by the club on Friday morning. Guardiola insist that such numbers does not mean he has huge resources to invest into his squad during transfer windows.
